Desarrollado en 2018, La Caja de Herramientas de Abogacía Legislativa proporciona una guía paso a paso para iniciar discusiones de incidencia, desarrollar e implementar una estrategia de manera sistemática, coherente y atractiva.

Among the resources available from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the Legislative Advocacy Toolkit. Developed in 2018, the Legislative Advocacy Toolkit provides a step-by-step guide to initiate advocacy discussions, develop and implement a strategy in a systematic, coherent, and engaging manner.

The pilot Global Online Training of Trainers Course for the Legislative Advocacy Toolkit was held during the month of February 2022 for Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Americas. Across the four regions, there were over 60 people trained, including focal points from 30 National Societies and 20 IFRC staff.

The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM) in Trinidad and Tobago is working towards the development of a new Comprehensive Disaster Management (CDM) law and policy that will be informed by the recommendations of a legislative gap analysis conducted with the technical support of IFRC Disaster Law and Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society.
