Invite for COP27 side event, Scaling-up early warning and early action through comprehensive disaster and climate risk management
Join us for this COP27 side-event where IFRC Secretary General Jagan Chapagain will be talking about the importance of legal frameworks for comprehensive disaster risk management, including early warning and anticipatory action.

The ambitious plan to achieve Early Warnings for All in the next five years requires an all-out effort by multiple actors, stakeholders, and institutions. This event will focus on enabling factors, including integrated disaster risk reduction and climate action that will make this vision a reality.

A comprehensive disaster and climate risk management approach sets the basis for joint and shared responsibilities to facilitate such integration, including through stronger linkages between institutions and planning processes.

This COP27 side-event will be held in Hatshepsut, Blue Zone from 3 to 4.30pm EET. COP 27 side events can be watched live and on-demand here.
