Strong legal frameworks are critical for effective international humanitarian response operations.

The newly published Rutledge Handbook of Public Policy in Africa features a chapter on disaster law, written by María Mercedes Martínez, from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).  

Through a partnership with the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law (CISDL),  IFRC Disaster Law supported and participated in events during COP 26.
