The Government of Chile and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), through Decree 292 of 2020, established an agreement that provides legal facilities for the IFRC to collaborate permanently in the implementation of the programs undertaken by the Chilean Red Cross in the country. The facilities include the obligation of the national government to apply "Measures to Accelerate International Relief" (Article 7), exemption of all types of taxes on the Federation's goods and income (Article 9), facilitation of the organization's vehicle registrations (Article 21) and exemption from customs duties on the importation of goods for official use and programs deployed in the territory (Article 10).
