The Korean Peninsula bears the brunt of severe typhoon seasons, many of which directly hit the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. Likewise, drought can have an extended and devastating impact on people in the country. IFRC Disaster Law and the Red Cross Society of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea has developed action plans to work with the Government on disaster law issues, facilitated peer learning opportunities and conducted trainings on disaster law.
