Across the vast and diverse terrain of India, Indian Red Cross Society works to prepare for, respond to and support communities to recover from disasters. IFRC Disaster Law has commissioned significant research on disaster law in India, including research relating to disaster risk reduction and the COVID-19 pandemic.
India was one of the countries included in a study of legal preparedness for regional and international disaster and pandemic response in South Asia.
