Bhutan

IFRC Disaster Law provides technical advice to the Bhutan government and the Bhutan Red Cross Society on disaster risk management laws and legislative development. Together with Bhutan Red Cross Society, IFRC Disaster Law provided advice and comments on the amendment of the Standing Orders on Disasters under the Disaster Management Act of Bhutan, and on the Disaster Management Act itself, particularly articles which address international disaster assistance.

Bhutan was one of the countries included in a study of legal preparedness for regional and international disaster and pandemic response in South Asia.
