In 2020, the Salvadoran Red Cross participated in the legislative advocacy workshop held in Panama, strengthening the capacities of key personnel to develop legislative advocacy strategies on priority issues.
In 2022, the Study for the Strengthening of the Auxiliary Role of the National Societies of Central American was developed, and Salvadoran Red Cross was one of the National Societies included. The study incorporated an advocacy strategy that prioritized the implementation of a Red Cross constitutive law taking into consideration its main components.
In early 2023, in support of the Salvadoran Red Cross Law project, the IFRC Disaster Law team is providing technical support in the advocacy campaign that is being undertaken in favor of the new law.
