Between 2018 and 2019, IFRC Disaster Law facilitated International Disaster Response Law (IDRL) sessions at the Annual Summer Course on International Law at the National Union of Jurists of Cuba, presenting on the IDRL issues faced during the Hurricane Maria response operation in 2017. The positive use of IDRL during the 2016 earthquake response in Ecuador was also showcased.
