Our Disaster Law team in the Caribbean have developed a virtual exhibition showcasing the role of laws and policies to empower communities to increase their resilience to respond and recover from disasters, and how it connects to the work of National Societies in the region.
The online exhibition is made up of videos from our team, IFRC colleagues and National Societies.
This is a great resource for anyone wanting to delve deeper into how what we do is rolled out on the ground, and for further insight into our work in the Caribbean.
At the regional level, the exhibition also illustrates key outcomes from the Ready Together Project, specifically, key highlights of the Caribbean IDRL Workshop in 2021, which led to the establishment of the Regional IDRL Working Group. The Ready Together Project was led by the French Red Cross through its Regional Intervention Platform for the Americas and the Caribbean (PIRAC), in collaboration with the IFRC, and co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the French Development Agency (AFD) and the Regional Council of Guadeloupe.
