Join us, UN Women, Thai Red Cross Society, the International Telecommunication Union and the Australian Government for a side event addressing the urgent need for greater support and inclusion of women in early warning systems.
The event will focus on targeting marginalised groups, ensuring gender equality and equity in disaster risk knowledge, forecasting, dissemination and communication of risks and preparedness. By empowering women in disaster preparedness and establishing inclusive early warning systems, we can proactively reduce risks and save lives.
The side event is part of day two of the 8th Committee on Disaster Risk Reduction Session at ESACP.
