In 2021, a desktop mapping of Cameroon’s legal framework applicable to international disaster response was conducted, using the Checklist on the Facilitation and Regulation of International Disaster Relief and Initial Recovery Assistance (the IDRL Checklist). This was following by a desktop mapping of the legal and policy arrangements for DRM across the country more broadly, which forms part of an ongoing research initiative of IFRC Disaster Law to map the DRM legal and policy frameworks of countries across Africa.
