Legislative Advocacy Training of Trainers goes global

News
Participants not only increased their knowledge but practiced and sharpened their advocacy and teaching skills through practical exercises and mock presentations.
The pilot Global Online Training of Trainers Course for the Legislative Advocacy Toolkit was held during the month of February 2022 for Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Americas. Across the four regions, there were over 60 people trained, including focal points from 30 National Societies and 20 IFRC staff.

Recognizing the privileged role that National Societies have as auxiliaries to public authorities, the aim of this training was to ultimately equip qualified trainers in National Societies on how to train others on humanitarian diplomacy and legislative advocacy.

This in turn empowers National Societies to develop and implement their own advocacy strategies and utilize their auxiliary role relationship with public authorities to overcome key issues of humanitarian concern.

Participants not only increased their knowledge but practiced and sharpened their advocacy and teaching skills through practical exercises and mock presentations.
