In early July, the IFRC launched the new report on Law and Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response: Lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic and based on this report, the IFRC prepared a Guidance on Law and Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response.

On September 3, Hugo Cahueñas and Kirsten Bookmiller hosted a meeting with the IFRC where Isabelle Granger and Rachel Amy Macleod briefed the Disaster Law Interest Group (DLIG) on this IFRC guidance document.
