The first IDRL regional consultation leading up to the 30th International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent in 2007 was held in Antalya, Turkey, on 25-26 May. 72 high level representatives from Governments (12) RC/RC National Societies (22), 9 UN agencies, NGOs (4) and academics actively took part. The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Eric Schwartz, UN Deputy Special Envoy for Tsunami Recovery.
