Senegal

In 2015, Senegalese Red Cross Society organised a workshop with government authorities and parliamentarians to discuss the recommendations of the 2014 report entitled 'Legal Frameworks for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in Senegal'. Following the workshop, recommendations were provided on how to improve the existing legal framework in Senegal, such as translation of key provisions into local dialects and enhanced capacity building for relevant actors.
