About the Disaster Law Database

The Disaster Law Database was established to bring together in one place the resources needed for practitioners and academics working in the field of disaster law.

The materials in the Disaster Law Database come from the international, regional and domestic levels, and from a wide range of actors including states, international organisations, the IFRC and academic institutions.

Methodology

The Disaster Law Database is organised by the following six categories:

  • Case law
  • Documents of international organisations
  • Documents of transnational private actors
  • Documents of treaty bodies
  • Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement documents
  • Treaties

Simply type your search terms into the search bar, or select the type of document you’re looking for, then apply filters to narrow your search.
